Oakleigh House Nursery and School
You are very welcome to visit our school at any time. Please contact the Admissions Secretary who deals with all admissions to arrange a mutually convenient appointment.
In response to your initial enquiry we will send out a prospectus, refer you to our website, note your interest on our database and invite you to view the school.
A visit is arranged for you to meet with the Headteacher and staff.
Should you wish your child to be considered for entry, you are requested to complete and return a registration form together with the £50 (non-refundable) fee. The registration form is not a contractual document.
Entry requirements vary depending on the age of your child.
In the early years (ages 2-5) these take the form of educational play and enjoyable activities observed by experienced Early Years staff, enabling us to assess the readiness of children for entry. Children seeking entrance 5+ will also undertake some literacy and numeracy activities which may include a story and mathematical or language games.
Children entering Years 3-6 are required to accompany their parents for an interview. They will then be asked to attend a taster day during which an informal assessment will take place. A copy of their last School report will also be required.
An offer letter is then sent to parents/guardians, offering the child a place at School. This is accompanied by the acceptance form, requiring a £500 deposit (returnable when the child leaves the school) and a copy of the Terms and Conditions of the Contract.
On return of the acceptance form together with the £500 deposit to the Admissions Secretary a welcome letter is sent to parents together with a welcome pack.
