Cognita Schools

Cognita is the largest private provider of independent education in the UK, Europe and Asia.

The group was formed in 2004 and is chaired by the former Chief Inspector of Schools, Chris Woodhead.  The Company currently employs over 1,400 teachers in over 45 schools.  There are almost 12,500 pupils attending these schools which fit a broad profile, including Pre-Prep, Prep and Senior Schools.

Oakleigh House School joined the group in June 2007.

Each Cognita school enjoys the benefits of being part of a large group.  They employ a large cache of excellent teachers who are able to exchange best practice experiences.  They are financially robust and the schools benefit from savings and effciencies through the support services of Cognita.

There are three Cognita schools in Wales, Oakleigh House, Ffynone House and St Clares, Porthcawl.
