ICT

We have a well-equipped computer suite with an interactive whiteboard and ten networked computers which are connected to the internet. All classes have regular access to the computer suite and the pupils quickly become familiar with their operation and capabilities. All pupils are encouraged to develop their ICT skills across the curriculum range.  Most classrooms have interactive whiteboards where the children can gain experience of using ICT across the curriculum. Each class also has two pupil computers. All children will have the opportunity to use the vast range of media within school including digital cameras, microphones for recording, microscopes and roamers.

Children progress from simple applications in Nursery to more advanced applications such as word processing, desktop publishing, computer graphics, using databases to store and retrieve information and use of the internet to access information. Children will also gain experience of using animation programs and software to manipulate digital media including pictures and video.

Our aim is to produce learners who are confident and effective users of Information Communication Technology.
