Life at Oakleigh

Pupils contribute immensely to the busy and varied life of the School through team sports, orchestra, chess and a variety of other after school and lunchtime clubs. 

All pupils take part in the annual Christmas production.  

Early Bird Supervision

Pupils may arrive at school from 8.00 am and are supervised until their class teachers are ready to take them to class at 8.30. There is no charge for this facility. 

After School Club 

The After School Club is supervised by Mrs Elizabeth Evans and assisted by Mrs Jan Hesford and Miss Isobel Thomas.  This runs from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm daily in the Nursery area.  After a light tea pupils are given the opportunity of taking part in a range of indoor and outdoor activities depending on the weather.  Attached is a list of the current activities on offer.  The Club is registered with Care and Social Services in Wales and recently underwent an inspection. 

Summer Club

We also offer a summer club which runs for four weeks at the beginning of the summer holidays when our pupils can enjoy a range of indooor and outdoor activities.  It runs from 8.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday and pupils bring a packed lunch.  

We accept Busy Bees, Kids Unlimited, Kiddivouchers and Accor Services Child Care Tax vouchers towards the cost of wrap around supervision.
