Oakleigh House School Policies and Expectations
Copies of all school policies are available from the Oakleigh House School office.
What you should do if....
...your child is ill.
Please telephone or email the School before 9.30 am on the first day of absence advising us of your child's illness. When your child returns please write a note in your child's school diary explaining the reason for absence.
...your child develops a medical condition.
Inform the office and your child's class teacher at once. If necessary they will inform other members of staff who need to know. Whatever the situation we will do our best to help you and your child cope in school.
...you are unavoidably late for picking up your child.
Children who have not been picked up at home time automatically go to the After School Club. If you know you are going to be late however, please telephone the School so that After School Supervisors know who will be in their care and the kitchen staff know how many children require tea.
...you are worried about your child.
Always talk to your child's class teacher. If something has happened that may affect your child in school see the teacher first thing in the morning. Alternatively, if you need more time for discussion, make an appointment. Staff are here to help you and your child get the most out of school.
...you would like to go on holiday during term time.
Holidays should not be taken in term time. Permission for special absence can be obtained by writing to the Headteacher and once this has been given, the dates you intend to be away should be written in your child's diary.
...you are moving house, or have new contact details.
It is very important that we always have correct home details for your child and an up to date contact number for you. Please ask in the office for an 'Amended Pupil Contact' form and let us know in plenty of time if your telephone number or address is to be changed.
Mrs Napier in the office is always happy to help with any general queries.
For queries of a financial nature, please contact Mrs Debbie Thomas, Business Manager on 01792 464967.
