Oakleigh House Eisteddfod 2017

March 1st – St David’s Day

Oakleigh House pupils celebrated St David’s Day with their bi-annual Eisteddfod.  Pupils arrived at school wearing their Welsh costumes, rugby shirts and daffodils.

Over the past weeks pupils from Year 1 to Year 6 have been working hard in preparing their entries for the competition in English, Art and their choir rehearsals.

The pupils joined together in the school hall and the house choirs all performed on the stage with Blue house choir the eventual winners.  We were very grateful to Mrs Dodds who judged the story writing competition.

The winner of the story writing competition was then crowned our Baird for 2017 and proudly joined some of the other winners for a photo.

Parents are invited to view all the pupils’ work in the school hall and classrooms.
