Oakleigh House Eisteddfod 2018
Pupils in Oakleigh House enjoyed participating in their St David’s Day Eisteddfod again this year. Story writing and art entries were submitted for adjudication and as always it was very difficult to select the winners. At the end of the Eisteddfod the Bard for 2018 was crowned. This year the accolade went to Anoushka in Year 6, who wrote a fascinating story entitled The Valley of the Kings for which she drew inspiration from the class study of Ancient Egypt.
Mrs Ferriman Headteacher commented, ‘the St David’s Day Eisteddfod is a key event in our annual calendar. It is always a pleasure to see the pupils in their welsh costumes, to watch them perform and celebrate the successes and achievements of each other.’
