Oakleigh House School supports KIK Charity
We were delighted to welcome Lorraine Goldsborough from the Kids in Kailahun (KIK) charity to an assembly last week.
KIK is a registered charity, working in the Kailahun district of Sierra Leone, West Africa.
It runs a sponsorship programme to support children who have been orphaned through war or disease. Since its inception in 2006, KIK has recognised a massive need that extends beyond the established sponsorship programme and their work now includes the building and running of a new school.
Oakleigh House School Council is pleased to be able to support this amazing charity and is proud to be sponsoring 2 pupils in the new school that KIK has set up.
You can follow the progress of these two children on the school council board in the reception area.
